UMAS and Hunting Guides

For hunting travelers that visit Baja, the state offers 157 UMAS (Wildlife Conservation Units), distributed in the Mexicali municipality, Ensenada and Tecate; overseeing hunting activities adequate implementation. These units are staffed with hunting professionals, some with over 20 years of experience, well knoledged in Mexico's hunting laws and regulations that guarantee security, satisfaction and a great hunting trip.

Hunting License

Article 96 of the General Wildlife Law says: "Foreign residents that want exploit wildlife, they must hire a registered service provider, who will serve for this effect as wildlife and conservation responsable.

Those who do not abide the law, and proceed with out the services of a service provider must hold a valid license.

Service providers must have a valid service provider license.
